Dear Students,
This morning you watched Jack and I model a debate on whether or not kids should be rewarded for doing chores. We each came up with our three pieces of evidence for what we thought about the issue and then talked back and forth about it until one of us gave in. Evidence should be well thought out and clear. Now I challenge you to debate this topic! What do you think? Should kids be rewarded for doing chores? Or should kids help out around their homes without getting something in return? Share your thinking below, and don't be afraid to respond to somebody else's thoughts (respectfully, of course!)! I'm looking forward to reading your debate! Love, Miss Kalmus

Yes I think kids should be rewarded for doing chores, but I think you all heard why I think that...

No kids should not get rewarded for chores because in life you are not just going to ask you're boss to give you money when you clean Next you are just chipping in for mom or dad.

I agree with Jenna because they will want to do more chores to just be rich and get money. They should do it so they can help mom or dad or big brother or sister. I think they should do it to be helpful to parents or siblings.
