Good morning,
Here is a blog idea I had. I was wondering if everyone could comment on what they are going to do over the holiday break. It might be nice to see what everyone will be doing. I am going up to Traverse City to see my cousins. It's a tradition we have to go there for Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see what everyone else is doing. Sincerely, Max Hi Friends!
Tomorrow we're going to continue working on angle measurements. I've included two videos in this blog post that you could watch to help remind you of what we studied today, as well as preview what we'll study tomorrow. Review of Full circle protractor - The teacher in this video gives a homework assignment at the end, but that's not for our class, it's for HER class! :) Preview of 1/2 circle protractor I hope this helps! Dear Class,
I had a blog post for if elementary schools should have a later start time?? Because I have heard on the news that some middle school's and high schools start later!!! That is why I think we should do a debate on if we should have a later start time!! Sincerely, Marion Check out this link to Mrs. Combs' blog! You can hear the music you are making in class, as well as listen to and read about what's happening in the other grades! Enjoy!

I think a good topic for a debate is: Should kids have to wear uniforms to school? What do you think? From, Jack Dear Students,
This morning you watched Jack and I model a debate on whether or not kids should be rewarded for doing chores. We each came up with our three pieces of evidence for what we thought about the issue and then talked back and forth about it until one of us gave in. Evidence should be well thought out and clear. Now I challenge you to debate this topic! What do you think? Should kids be rewarded for doing chores? Or should kids help out around their homes without getting something in return? Share your thinking below, and don't be afraid to respond to somebody else's thoughts (respectfully, of course!)! I'm looking forward to reading your debate! Love, Miss Kalmus Dear Class,
Today is Veteran's Day! This is an American holiday that honors people that fought for the freedom in our country. I know that I have at least two veterans in my family! My uncle was a doctor in the Vietnam War and I think my Grandpa fought in the Korean War. I know I'll be thanking my uncle for his service when I see him next week. Do you have veterans in your family? Why do you think it's good to have Veteran's Day? Love, Miss Kalmus |
